Bert Bennett Panel Centre was established by Bert Bennett Senior in 1960. At that time and for many years following, the shop was just a small concern with a unit situated on 14 Ruse Street. It ran with just one Panel Beater and one Spray Painter with Bert Snr at the helm. In 1997 following the completion of his Panel Beating apprenticeship, Bert Bennett Junior took over the day to day running of the shop and the business has grown since then. The premises now cover 5 units, the main shop is 12-14 Ruse Street, with the addition of units 6-8 Ruse Street back in 2013, then 10 Ruse Street in 2019.

In February 2021 Bert Junior's son BJ joined the team as an apprentice Panel Beater. Also in 2021, BJ won young achiever of the year award. We look forward to seeing how BJ develops in the trade over the coming years.
